Two trends are not enough, but it’s hard not to wonder if trendlet a moment longer when Ita Von Teese appears in Jean Paul Gaultier runway in the ensemble of bone. Von Teese came out mid-show, swagged and-hairy like Norma Desmond, and continue to remove gaunnya, showing the exoskeleton bedazzled. Less haunted, of course, from Riccardo Tisci’s ghost squelettes lace at Givenchy earlier this week, but hell a lot more fun. striptease was intended to issue a new dress Gaultier’s outing to La Perla, though we doubt this is one of the pieces come to market. (But what do women want do not want to hold the strap glittering up his bum?)
We are curious to see if this will shake out into the market. Miu Miu dress will do tibia-print, not a cat or a flamingo? Forever 21 would rip off Givenchy’s bone-shaped zipper pull? (Actually, they are to be sure.)
