Explanation please, on what this grief?
When you show your line of spring 2011 ready-made back around October, we’re not quite sure Shoeblog what to say and how to review your shoes have been produced. We want to love any shoe that you make, as we have often done in the past. However, the unfortunate mixture of pastels and Metallics in saddle-stitched oxford silhouette leave one of our bloggers declined to comment other than to say “Oo-ga-lay” while others shudder horror, muttering “Tranny hot mess” over and over on himself (he was gone).
I? While I was not quite as horrific as that of other writers, I really do not ‘over-month,’ for one style. The phrase “I do not love it” comes to mind – and I love, love, * love * sexy, high right, oxfords – in all their glory saddle stitched and MaryJane-ish. Unfortunately, this is a ‘convenient’ for my shoes: they almost feel balanced, close felt in play, almost feels natural. Too forced, it is tried, and failed, to convince me how much fun they are, should, should.
Or if you like that in baseball talk, it feels a bit like a swing and miss.
So, enough with the track. Now we have hit the Mac and technically spring around the corner (although the snow-gods seems to distort and stick their noses in the winter as long as possible this year) the various retail versions of these began to appear online.
Can you sense my trepidation?

While the mixture is a clear neutral-trend this season, and the contrast of ivory and silver on black is the color of a little less jarring mix of black / gold / white combo of open-arch calf boots, a silver is still a bit off-putting to me. I like the detail of the heel part-packed, though, was not enough to convince me to love the rest of the shoes in one.

Neon pink …. Hmm. Pink is usually employed for Miu Miu, the feminine, cute, and funny. Although not for me, this is clearly the trend of color-bright fuschia color-blocking and-80′s-retro references you’ll see any this year. I liked the art-deco vibe at the heel is small.

Finally, we got to my kind of shoes.
In my book, if you want to go crazy for the details and texture, and color tone at the top, and if you want to go crazy-creative with the colors, so keep the silhouette clean. Either the color or the cut should come first, not until we reach the poor soil that is too-much-going on.
So, first we get the boot feminine, yet fully modern ancestors. Then, we cut that down to the Oxford flirty slingback trend in one of the most popular this season – plus neutral. Finally, we take that same slingback in a monochrome black in the detail texture is very fine, indeed.
After seeing the neon-green cut-out boat grandmother the runway, I was quite Leary about how this will translate into retail. Overall, while there are some who would miss the group, some of which qualify a second peek.
